Revival by Stephen King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Stephen King’s writings always take me places that I need to go. It is refreshing when you are a graduate student to be able to read a book without a highlighter and a pen and pad in hand. As a Black man, sometimes I just need an escape from the realities of the dystopian society we call the United States. One of the things I really enjoyed about reading the book is the tension between faith and the existential question of “Should we play G-d?”
It has been a while since I have read Stephen King and I wanted to go back so that I can read more of his recent books. As a scientist and man of faith, the book did give me pause for introspection as to what belief is about and where belief and science intersect.
